Royal Gorge Skydive offers jumps as high as 16,000 feet above sea level and free falls for up to 50 seconds long. Located in Penrose, it’s probably the best opportunity you can have to see places like Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge Bridge, and Sangre De Cristo Mountains while riding the wind and falling safely down to earth.
The location is also nearby other local attractions such as the Canon City Segway Tours and Royal Gorge Route Railroad.
Skydiving in Penrose
The company is open year-round, offering tandem jumps for beginners and fun jumps for experienced thrill-seekers. Student Training program is being offered as well, which is being handled by another skydiving club (High Sky Adventures).
Additional services like photo and video recording are also available for you to take the experience home and share it with your family and friends. In partnership with Clasp Life, Royal Gorge Skydive offers a charity program for people with terminal illnesses. The program, a tandem skydive from as high as 16,000 feet, is free for those who will qualify.
