San Juan Backcountry provides a variety of OHV rentals from May through mid October. Trek as high as 13,000 feet in gorgeous San Juan County

The Silverton area has over seven miles of old wagon trails to ride on. Rent a Jeep, ATV or Dirt Bike rain or shine. Take Cinnamon Pass over to Lake City and the Engineer Pass back to Silverton or Ouray. Reservations are highly recommended during peak season, from June to August.

Jeep Rentals

Automatic and stick shift Jeeps are available, in two and four door models. All vehicles have 2 inch lifts and off-road tires. Rent for a half or full day. Pick-up is at 8am and return time at 5pm. Pets are welcome on board for a fee.

ATV Rentals

Both guided and unguided rentals are offered. ATVs, as well as 2 seater and 4 seater UTVs are available for half and full days.

Guided Tours include:

  • ATV Tour with Train -Ride on the Durango & Silverton NGRR.
  • ATV Early Bird – 2.5 hour tour in the morning.
  • ATV Lunch – 3 tour with boxed lunch.

Dirt Bike Rentals

Guided and unguided half day and full day dirt bike rentals are available. Helmets are provided and they rent goggles for a minimal fee. Operational instructions are given.

Guided Tours

In addition to guided dirt bike and ATV tours, you can ride in a 4×4 Surburban to an old ghost town or the One Hundred Gold Mine. Also explore the historical town of Silverton via guided tour.

Snowmobile Rentals

Since 2000, Durango, Silverton & Molas Pass Snowmobile Tours has been provided guided treks at over 12,000 feet. There are over eighty miles of snowmobile trails to explore. 1, 2 and 4 hour tours run December through mid April. Single and double rider snowmobiles are available.
