Almost anywhere you go in Colorado, glamping accommodations and cabin rentals are available, and the Royal Gorge Region around Cañon City is no exception. With travelers seeking life outdoors but still wanting to enjoy some of the comforts of home, glamping affords them both options.
Nestled between the Front Range and the Wet Mountains, just two hours southwest of Denver, the Royal Gorge Region is best known for the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. While there are no lodging options inside the park (aside from the East Ridge Campground – first-come, first-serve), there are plenty of places for glamping in the surrounding region.
Glamping in Colorado is all the craze right now. Options near Cañon City range from cabin and yurt rentals to shiny modern Airstreams.
For shopping and dining, the town of Cañon City lies just 15-20 minutes east of the Royal Gorge Park and provides everything you need for your Fremont County holiday. This includes additional hotel accommodations should you not find availability below.
