Situated at 4,774 feet of elevation in Colorado’s northeast corner, Hoyt used to have a post office, which is now served by Wiggins just north. Hoyt is located east of Keenesburg and near the sky-high Hoyt Radio Tower (1996 feet).
The unincorporated community got its name from a settler in the area, Dr. James A. Hoyt. It’s located in Morgan County.
