Lawson, Colorado

Elevated at 8,107 feet above sea level, Lawson is a little unincorporated community alongside I-70. It’s included in the Downieville-Lawson-Dumont census-designated place (CDP).

Lawson is located beside Clear Creek in Clear Creek County. There was a Lawson post office operated from 1877 to 1966. A local hotel, Alexander Lawson, gave the town its name.

Base Camp Lodging Company – Formerly the Lawson Adventure Park, this local resort offers both cabins and yurts for rent year-round. They have a variety of seasonal activities to go along with your Rocky Mountain getaway.
