Avondale is a rural community and census-designated place (CDP) located about 15 miles east of downtown Pueblo. It’s included in the Pueblo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
In 2010 there was a recorded population of 674 residents. Since 1892 there has been an Avondale Post Office in town with a zip code of 81022.
