Situated just south of Pueblo on I-25, Colorado City has a small historic district. In 2010 it had a population of 2,193 people.
Greenhorn Mountain towers to over 12,000 feet in view, 7,000 feet above town. Most of the tourists come to town for the area’s stellar recreation in the surrounding San Isabel National Forest.
Frontier Pathways – Colorado City sits at the southern start of this 103 mile byway, which retraces to the early routes of the area’s explorers.
