[David Grisman Quintet performs at NedFest in 2009.] NedFest is an annual three-day outdoor music, arts and microbrew festival. Camping is available in the mountains around Nederland.
It happens the last weekend of August. Up to six bands play each day. Music styles include bluegrass, jam-band, jazz, jam-grass, and world genres. Unfortunately, due to event space issues the event has been cancelled for 2019, and possibly forever.
The Nederland Music and Arts Festival, also popularly known as NedFest, brings a wide range of music for three days of outdoor fun. NedFest, which is considered one of the oldest music festivals in Boulder County, will be showcasing genres like bluegrass, rock, funk, Americana, jazz, and jamband. The festival can accommodate a crowd capacity of only 2000 so you never have to worry about being too cramped. Onsite camping near the Barker Reservoir is also welcome to this kid friendly event.
Aside from music performances from artists on the main stage, there’s also kids’ tent pitched and activity areas for the younger crowd. Food vendors, craft artists, and Colorado brews will also be present around the festival area for attendees to enjoy.
Address: Downtown Nederland
