Pueblo’s 28th annual Chile & Frijoles Festival brings the heat the third weekend after Labor Day. The three-day extravaganza welcomes nearly 150,000 pepper people, who indulge in a variety of types, from mild to wild.
The event will take place from Friday to Sunday, September 23rd to 25th, 2022. It’s held in the Pueblo downtown area on Union Avenue. The highlight is the harvest of the region’s most popular local chile, the Mira Sol Chile!
Other festivities include live entertainment, arts and crafts, authentic ethnic foods, a farmers market, family-friendly activities, and a lot of chile! Area farmers sold around $50,000 in peppers in 2017.
