Back for its 8th year, the Colorado Tartan Day Festival celebrates all things Scottish. A family-friendly affair, guests are encouraged to wear kilts and other traditional clothing; however, it’s not required. On-site, attendees can purchase custom clothing and jewelry, discover if they have Scottish ancestry at one of the twenty clan tents, or stop by a food truck before heading to the pub for a beer.
Held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, the Colorado Tartan Day Festival is free to attend. Taking place on TBD 2026 (last event: Saturday and Sunday, April 12th to 13th, 2025), there will be live musical performances, a parade, forums, face-painting, children’s activities, and an opportunity to win two custom-made Celtic quilts during the weekend.

Additionally, the Renaissance Scots Living History Association hosts a village where you can watch live demonstrations of heritage crafts such as blacksmithing and leatherwork, or taste traditional dishes before watching the Wolves of Dunvegan practice combat skills. A great event for everyone, the Colorado Tartan Day Festival should not be missed.
