Back for its 16th year, the Denver Veterans Day Run, hosted by the Colorado Veterans Project, is both an in-person and virtual 5k and 10k event that directly benefits Colorado Vets. Registration varies for civilian and veteran runners and all results can be viewed on an online leaderboard.
Taking place at City Park on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, the in-person race starts at 9 am. For those who wish to race on their own, there is a virtual 5K and 10K as well. Registration for the in-person race includes a race t-shirt, timing bib, and finisher medal.
Additionally, for any runners who want to push themselves a little harder, there is a Rippetoe Rucksack Challenge. This 10k run includes a 25lb ruck or backpack and is in honor of Army Captain Russel B. Rippetoe who was killed in action on April 3, 2003, while serving in Iraq.
