Paonia Cherry Days is considered one of the longest-running community festivals in Colorado. Apart from showcasing a bunch of things you can do with cherries, the event is also packed with activities that the whole town will enjoy. With a parade, beer garden, and royalty crowning, guests can get into the festive spirit.
And for those with a sweet tooth, the cherry pit spitting contest and cherry baking challenge might be right up your alley. Held over the Fourth of July weekend in downtown Paonia, this year’s 79th annual event runs from Thursday to Saturday, July 3rd to 5th, 2025.
