This magical display of holiday lights is one of the favorite Christmas events in Glenwood Springs. Held over six weekends in late November and December, Winter on the Mountain is a terrific event for the whole family.
Winter On The Mountain happens from Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, to January 4th, 2026. You can meet Santa on select Saturdays at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The kickoff celebration is on Saturday, November 22, 2025. During the kick-off party from 4-8 pm, there will be free cider, a chance to meet Santa and the Grinch, and a tree lighting at 6 pm.
Holiday Lights at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
Take the Glenwood Gondola to the 7,100-foot summit of Iron Mountain. The incredible Western Colorado views will add to the holiday cheer. Children under 13 may ride the gondola for free.
Over 500,000 lights are used for Winter on the Mountain. There will also be live music, a musical Christmas Tree, and Santa Claus. Fire pits located in the plaza are the perfect way to warm up and cook up some s’mores.
Enjoy seasonal food and drinks, as well as attractions that are still open. Ride the alpine coaster, play laser tag, or stop by the 4D theater.
