Taking place along the Yampa River, the Yampa River Reggae Festival is not to be missed. Daytime activities at the festival include a 5K fun run, Yoga in the Park, craft and food vendors, and a river cleanup. Once the sun sets, everything and everyone will be lit up for the glow portion of the event and live music.
This year’s festival takes place on TBD 2025 or canceled (last event: Saturday, July 20th, 2024) at Loudy Simpson Park. The band lineup is still TBD, but music typically starts at 4:20 pm and runs until 11 pm. With proceeds benefiting the town of Craig, which is losing most of its taxable income with the closure of the power plant, this festival is helping to keep it on the map.
