Hillside is a tiny unincorporated community nestled at the eastern base of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. It’s located along Highway CO-69 N about halfway between Cotopaxi to the north, and Westcliffe to the south.

There is a Hillside Post Office in town with a zip code of 81232. The town resides at an elevation of 7,490 feet in Fremont County. Camping and outdoor recreation are found only minutes west of town in the San Isabel National Forest. Only a reported dozen people or so live in the rural, mountain community of Hillside.
