Now in its 30th year, the Ouray Ice Festival is the largest ice climbing event on our continent. The best ice climbers from around the world compete. There are four days of competition, exhibitions, instruction, and parties.
Every January the town of Ouray comes alive with a friendly, icy competition. Events take place at the Ouray Ice Park from Thursday to Sunday, January 23rd to 26th, 2025. You’ll find stunning ice features that were created by the park’s “ice farmers” all around the park.
The festivities kick off with a party on Thursday night at the Community Center, 320 6th Ave. A fan-favorite event is the free walk-up ice climbing, which is available at the Ouray Ice Park. Check out the 2025 schedule of events.
