Pickin’ In The Rockies – Loma, CO (near Fruita)

The little town of Loma near Fruita and Grand Junction hosts the 2nd annual Pickin’ In The Rockies in September. This acoustic concert festival is a fun way to cap off the summer season in Western Colorado, singing and dancing to country, bluegrass, and gospel music.

This year’s event takes place on Sunday, September 14th, 2025. In addition to concerts throughout the day, there are also local vendors and workshops to partake in.

The festival’s mission is:

Pickin’ in The Rockies is dedicated to serving the western slope of Colorado by promoting the education of acoustic music, Colorado artists, and the history and progression of Bluegrass music.

Experience authentic Southern Bluegrass on the Western Slope. This late summer event is a non-profit family-friendly festival, all made possible by a slew of volunteers.
