Byers, Colorado is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan Statistical Area. It’s located well east of Denver (about 45 miles) and Aurora (about 33 miles) at the junction of I-70 and US-36 at an elevation of 5,210 ft.
This unincorporated plains town and census-designated place (CDP) is part of Arapahoe County. It has its own post office with a zip code of 80103. In 2020 Byers recorded a population of 1,338 residents. It was named after William Byers, Colorado’s first newspaper editor.
