Deer Trail is a small statutory town located about 1 hour east of downtown Denver on the Great Plains. Its nickname reflects on its history, “Home of the World’s First Rodeo”.
It was platted in 1875 and incorporated on February 3rd, 1920. Deer Trail resides at an elevation of 5,190 feet above sea level in Arapahoe County. At the 2020 US Census, there were 1,068 recorded residents.
