Out of all the places to gamble in Colorado, Black Hawk takes the cake with largest number of casinos. This list contains the notable casinos for year round gambling in Black Hawk, Colorado.

Those of you that think that Las Vegas is the only place where one can enjoy a great gambling experience, are about to discover a lot of awesome casinos nestled in Colorado. There are five towns in Colorado that host casinos if you count the two Indian Reservation casinos located in the southwest corner of the state. Out of them all Black Hawk has the biggest and brightest gambling halls.

List of Top Casinos in Black Hawk, CO

Black Hawk’s largest casino and hotel, Ameristar.

When it comes to gambling in Colorado, nearly all of it’s concentrated just west of Denver and Colorado Springs. Neighbor towns Black Hawk and Central City are the Mile High City’s go-to when it comes to a fun night at the tables. They both lie about forty-five minutes west of the capital in the Rockies. Colorado Springs, the state’s third largest city, has the former mining town of Cripple Creek to discover. It’s about an hour drive west from the city.

The list contains the biggest gambling places listed by size in Black Hawk. Here are some of the biggest and the best casinos (by number of gaming devices) you need to discover.

1. Ameristar

This is not just a simple gambling place, but it is also a luxury hotel where you can spend quality time at the spa or by choosing one of the 1500 slot machines, roulette, poker tables, blackjack, etc.

2. Isle of Capri

It’s one of the best casinos in Colorado that also has a hotel, fine dining restaurants and numerous bars. You have the opportunity to pick from 1100 slot machines, 14 blackjack tables, poker, roulette, etc. There’s also a bridge connection with the Lady Luck. Both of these two are operated by the same owners.

3. The Lodge

Known as the first gambling place that offered lodging. When it was opened it started offering luxury hotel services and a large gaming floor to pick your favorite slot or table.

4. Mardi Gras

Probably the newest gambling place, being opened right after they had a first boom and it can be easily distinguished by it’s copper roof. The Lodge is situated next to Mardi Gras.

5. Lady Luck

Lady Luck can be easily called the one of the best just because it was used as Colorado Central Station, so it’s rich in history, plus there’s an indoor bridge connecting it to Isle of Capri as well as to the same hotel, so you can have them all without stepping outside.

6. Gilpin Casino

Gilpin used to be a hotel but had been transformed in a gambling place. You have the possibility to spend the night over at the Lodge Hotel. The Gilpin has only slot and video poker games.

7. Golden Gates

If you are looking for the largest poker room in Colorado you need to come to the Golden Gates. The place is the best casino of the Golden Gaming Group and is situated opposite to Mardi Gras (sister casino).

8. Wild Cards Saloon & and Casino

This place is famous for the good service, home-cooking and many slots. Located on Main Street in Black Hawk, it has a mini-mart and makes it the best casino place for the variety of shopping treats

9. Bull Durham

Located right across from city gazebo at the center of Black Hawk, the place is a small 200 slot machine entertaining place.

10. Golden Gulch

Small casino located nearby the Black Hawk City Jail operated by Isle of Capri.

11. Black Hawk Station

This is the best casino place for locals and is known to be the best place with live music.

12. Red Dolly

This is a small gambling place in a two-floor building. On the top level of the building you can find a nice restaurant. The place is considered to be the best casino place in term of privacy, atmosphere and character.

13. Sasquatch Casino

Owned by the same people that run Black Hawk Station and Wild Card Saloon, the place is one of the most entertaining of all.

As you can see, there are more than enough choices for gaming in the Centennial State right here in Black Hawk! Best of luck next time you play and put $20 on 00 for me.
