Kittredge is a tiny community of around a thousand people. It’s located between Evergreen and Morrison on CO 74. There’s not much in town but a post office, gas station and a couple restaurants.
Bear Creek Restaurant serves a range of good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Voted one of the best steak houses in the Denver area, Black Hat Cattle Co, has daily happy hour with food and drink specials.
Recreation
Camping:
- Bear Creek Lake, at the junction of 470 and 285 in Lakewood, has a 47 site campground open from April through October.
- Echo Lake Park is twenty-five miles from town. Take CO 74 to Squaw Pass Road in Evergreen. Follow for 17 miles.
Fishing:
- Evergreen Lake is nearby with ice fishing in the winter.
