Guided Rock Climbing in Grand Junction
There are several locations for guided rock climbing in Western Colorado. Each of which offers a unique climbing experience. All the breathtaking monuments provide an enjoyable adventure. There are monuments ideal for all skill level that can be great for honing your skills with top-rope and multi-pitch climbing.
Independence Monument (5.9, 4 pitches) stands over 500 feet. It’s the the signature formation and located at the core of the Colorado National Monument. Independence Monument is just near Grand Junction and is a very popular summit in Western Colorado being featured in picture books, magazines, calendars and more.
Unaweep Canyon Granite (5.5 to 5.13 pitches) is one of the most widely used locations for training, multi-pitch and top-rope climbing. Every climb can be like your first ascend with many of the areas still not having fixed gears. With low traffic, climbers can keep on coming back for days and not have to worry about walls being crowded. Unaweep Canyon is great for every skill level.
Unaweep Canyon Sandstone Sport Climbing (5.5 to 5.11) – If you want something that can challenge you, bolted sandstone face climbs on Four Blocks and Grit Wall can do just that.
Colorado National Monument (5.7 to 5.12) – you can experience a variety of climbing with the cracks, towers and soft sandstones such as the Entrada and Wingate sandstones. It’s great for every skill level and has a lot of red rock climbing routes.
Rock Climbing Classes, Self-Rescue Instruction and Rappelling
